About our Hiking Scratch Map
DRAWN BY HAND
Hundreds of hours went into illustrating the hiking map. Drawing by hand just gives the map a vibrancy that cannot be achieved in a purely digital process.

Hiking Scratch Map: the story behind
When we started working on the Hiking Map in 2017, we decided we wanted it to include not only long-distance hiking trails, like the Pacific Crest Trail, but also family-friendly walks and nature trails.
The map is a great gift for hikers. It shows the best places to hike, from short walks like the Grand Canyon Rim Trail, to long-distance trails like the Camino de Santiago and the Bibbulmun Track, to lesser-known treks, like the Kachin Tribal Village Trek in Myanmar or Erta Ale in Ethiopia.
The Scratch Edition is covered in a silver scratch-off layer to scratch off countries you have already visited. Uncover the awesomeness country-by-country, track your travels, or scratch it all off in one euphoric frenzy.
