Green Map - Paper

For the past 10 years, we’ve been making illustrated maps reflecting different passions, but we still love trying new things.

We found Andrés’ work on Instagram, his style was so different from what we normally do and that’s why we loved it - we knew he’d be perfect to create our very first map with no humans or man-made structures. So the Green Map was born. The simple beauty of our world and nothing else. Andrés is amazing at illustrating in incredible amounts of detail and the natural wonders of the world in his art style are just breathtaking. Look closely and you’ll find well-known landmarks like the Iguazu Falls at the border of Brazil and Argentina or the Grand Canyon in the US and famous peaks like Mount Everest. Take another look and you’ll discover all the details which complete our awesome world, like rock formations, geysers, rivers, gorges or trees.

Andrés hand-drew a sketch of every landscape with its main geographical characteristics, combined with an internet search to add other interesting parts of the area and give accuracy to the details. And then based on the color palette of the image briefing, he colored in every part with a digital tablet, resulting in a well-covered region. His favorite part of the map creating process? The beginning, when he put all the information together on his desk and planned the work - a great moment when he was imagining all aspects of the drawing and its details. That’s when he put pencil to paper for the first time and started it all again and again.
