Instagrammable Places Towel: the story behind

The idea for an Instagrammable Places Map came in early 2020 when we were in Bali as a team, working together on the annual strategy. Surrounded by so many awesome places in perhaps the most geotagged and photogenic place in the world, we thought why not take that inspiration and turn it into a map & expand it even further than the Bali swing - make it worldwide!

We decided to include 150 spots worldwide and started researching the places we wanted to illustrate. When we travel to new places, we use Instagram to connect with others who have experienced the same place and we wanted to express that to anyone who sees this map as well. We wanted people to relate with the awesome feeling of sharing a great photo of your travels and experiences to others and the possibility it has to reach billions of people worldwide and inspire them!

All the images are inspired by real photos from Instagram creators around the world, who now all love their illustrations! For the research, we mixed popular places like Nusa Penida in Bali or the Tour Eiffel, but also lots of spots in traditionally less-travelled countries like New Caledonia or Samoa, which still have so many awesome gems to be discovered.

Ever wondered where the best photo locations in Dubai or the most Instagram-worthy spots in Bali are? Find them all on this map! From urban spots like the Montane Mansion in Hong Kong or the Shibuya crossing in Tokyo, to the quaint Valensole lavender fields of southern France, epic festivals like Burning Man in Nevada or Holi Festival and awesome journeys like the Transsiberian Railway or the Livingstone Express in Zambia!
